Two decades ago, after ten years of travel and work in Europe and Australia, Tim developed Anembo Consultants as a Landscape Architectural and Environmental Consultancy. Initially in partnership with a core group of directors Tim became Managing Director in 2003.
Underlining
Tim’s commitment to integrity and professionalism is his role as the
inaugural chair of the Sunshine Coast Chapter of Australian Institute
of Landscape Architects and has also served as State Vice President and
Treasurer.
Tim is an expert negotiator and has vast experience in
land development which has led to current 6 year tenure on the
executive of the Sunshine coast branch of the UDIA. Tim played a role
on the Enviro Development experts taskforce and currently represents
the UDIA on the Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s ‘Housing
Affordability Taskforce’.
His early career as an Environmental Scientist provides a ‘grounded’
view of design based on the inevitable logic of science that emphasises
the need to not only fit with, but work with the environment to produce
sustainable landscapes
Tim’s early design career was influenced in
particular by the late Arne Fink, a master technical designer and the
brilliant aesthetic of Des Brooks. These opposing yet complementary
design approaches allowed Tim to develop his aesthetic vision with
complementary function.
Tim developed Anembo during the early
2000’s to a 15+ strong team and the largest practice on the Sunshine
Coast with a swag of multi award winning projects. In 2006, in
passionate pursuit of balance between practice excellence and quality
lifestyle Tim reformed Anembo into its current harmonious, productive
and sustainable handful of high quality and experienced staff.
Our
‘beach shack’ office is located adjacent one of Australia’s finest
beaches and is a perfect place to remain fresh and rejuvenated, our
clients just love to visit and not just for the fab restaurants around
the corner overlooking the surf!!
Tim is passionate about surfing, culinary travel and personal growth
